Food Fight!
Well not exactly. More like the fights we have with food. We all have them, right? Ok, maybe me more than others. I have this weird thing with food. Like I can't eat bananas once they start to get the black spots on them. It's a texture thing. I couldn't eat refried beans or guacamole until I was in my 20s. I can tell just by looking at something if I'm going to like it, because of the texture.
Take hummus for instance. I love hummus...as long as it's Trader Joe's 3 Layer Hummus. I don't like the texture of most others. I like the taste, just not the texture, so then I can't eat it.
And white food. I don't eat white food. Well, actually I will eat 4 white foods: 1. White rice. 2. Marshmallows. 3. Mashed potatoes. 4. Ok, so I can't think of the fourth right now. For all I know it's white wine.
Dairy, that I can't have. I'm not lactose intolerant. I can't digest the fat. Or any fat for that matter. Which is why I can't eat fried foods. I love fried foods thought. Who doesn't?
So, what are some of the foods you won't eat? Or, better yet, what was the weirdest food you ever ate (mine was frog's legs, they tasted like chicken, of course!)?

Life's a Beach!
I had a chance to go to the beach. It came up suddenly and I didn't turn it down. I can't turn down the beach, it's not in me. I am very lucky to have such good friends.
When we arrived I decided we needed to toast with mimosas. What time was it? Doesn't matter. It's like camping, drinking starts at 8 a.m. Oh, and that's the beach behind us. Yeah, I know, you're jealous.
This is how close we were to the beach...
All we had to do was walk down the stairs and cross the beach street. It was perfect!
Oh look, there's the pier!
After a few drinks we decided to walk the beach. Ugh! I guess you can't get away from some things.
Some things you don't want to get away from...
Sometimes you can't quite understand what you are seeing, like the guy dragging a boat bumper down the beach....
The sunsets were amazing...
Our last day on the beach a group of kids showed up and started digging a hole. Ok, whatever. Some people lay in the sun, some play volleyball and some dig. Later that afternoon I noticed that they were still digging. The hole was huge...
Then we started to see emergency vehicles show up. I guess the geniuses that were digging decided to dig a tunnel, which collapsed with this guy in it.
Then the kids were told to fill in the hole.
Idiots!
Oh well, I had a great time. The beach is the best.
