Pretty Doctor at Thanksgiving!

It's been two long years since Pretty Doctor was with us at Thanksgiving. Luckily she back. We had a great time with great people...

I decided to make the spice cake square this year. A week ago or so I was saying that I wasn't going to make the "Cake in a Bowl" this year. There was quite the uproar so I went home to Google the recipe. I found a blog dedicated to how this cake cannot be made. I decided to not even attempt to make it the way the recipe says and chose a pretty bowl to make it in...



















I've got to find something else to make for next year because this cake, even in a bowl, is very difficult to make. It has 3 frostings, each never turning out how the recipe says they will. I'm over not being able to make it.

The Holidays Have Been Saved!

Mr. Interesting was over the other day and I was telling him the problem I was having with my winter trees and how I couldn't find a strand of lights small enough. Genius that he is, he asked if I had checked the fuses. No. So he changed the fuses and they lit right up. The holiday season is back on! The winter trees make me happy.

The Grinch!

Went to see The Grinch with Pretty Girl. We had as much fun as any of the kids. The staff didn't even mind that I took a picture of the stage. Too bad it didn't turn out better...

First Casualty of the Holiday Season

Ok, before you start in, these are NOT Christmas Trees. They are winter trees and we put them up early November and take them down sometime in January or February, depending on how lazy I am. I am a little behind putting them up this year and when I did, this happened...
























Awwww! The middle tree's light are out. So now I can either go through each light to find the one that is actually burnt out or I can go buy a new strand. Guess which one I'll do?

Slap Bet!

Do you guys watch How I Met Your Mother? It's a great show that you all are missing if you're not watching it. In the show they have this thing called Slap Bet. It's the most awesome thing ever.

Well, my jealous friends, Pretty Girl gets to be the "Slap Bet Commissioner." Yeah, that's right! I have never been more envious of her in my life, besides the day she was born and every day since! Ok, well maybe not that one day when she was in 6th grade was wrongly accused of throwing something from the school bus.

My only hope in life now, besides retiring before I die, is to be around when the slap happens.
