I'm so confused! What is the difference between flap jacks, pancakes, hot cakes, short cakes, griddle cakes, johnny cakes and IHOP's short cake pancakes? I don't like any of them. To me they are like lead weights in your stomach. The Pretty's love pancakes with chocolate chips in them. They used to sprinkle powdered sugar on them but now they eat them plain. If you can call that plain. I call it candy!I do like waffles, which is weird, cuz aren't they the same thing? I think it's the same batter but I like how waffles are crunchy. I like how the syrup makes them soggy, yet still crunchy because of the sugar content of the syrup.

I have, but they always forget and drop the big, round ball o' butter on the hot waffles, then realize what they have done and scoop if off. There is always the residual butter left on the waffles. I hate that!
