Let Them Eat Cake!

I'm so confused! What is the difference between flap jacks, pancakes, hot cakes, short cakes, griddle cakes, johnny cakes and IHOP's short cake pancakes? I don't like any of them. To me they are like lead weights in your stomach. The Pretty's love pancakes with chocolate chips in them. They used to sprinkle powdered sugar on them but now they eat them plain. If you can call that plain. I call it candy!

I do like waffles, which is weird, cuz aren't they the same thing? I think it's the same batter but I like how waffles are crunchy. I like how the syrup makes them soggy, yet still crunchy because of the sugar content of the syrup.

I don't like to order waffles in a restaurant cuz they bring it with that ice cream scoop of butter. That's just wrong. As you can see, I'm not a fan of butter. I don't like butter on things, only in things. I know what you're thinking, "Why doesn't she just order waffles without butter?" I have, but they always forget and drop the big, round ball o' butter on the hot waffles, then realize what they have done and scoop if off. There is always the residual butter left on the waffles. I hate that!

Not that you care!

It's not candy! Well, close, but its just so warm and yummy with the melty chocolate chips and all - its a good treat! It is perfect for a winter weekend morning! Plus, Krusteaz makes it too darn easy not to make them! :) I love Krusteaz!

PS - Eww to the butter scoop - it is gross!

And waffles are the best with peanut butter and syrup - yum!

Also, birthday cake really is the best breakfast! ;) Thanks for letting us actually eat it as such!

You know what I hate, (not that it matters) is when people say 'they are selling like hotcakes!'..well if that was you and probably many others who don't like hotcakes, one can surmise that they didn't sell that well. Plus in Shayna's instance she might want to say 'they sold like chocolate chip pancakes!' right? So from now on I will no longer say they sold like hotcakes, now I will use "they sold like I-phones!"

I'm with you. I hate butter on my waffles. I just eat them with syrup. Brien is always trying to put butter on my waffles. It drives me crazy!
